My sketching models from first week of January. Mostly when watching TV and chatting. Ignoring my begging to sit still.
Why do our aunts and uncles turn into grandmas and granddads so fast???
Happy New Year, Irina! Your sketches are lovely. Congrats! Do not worry about details. Just have fun. Joy must come first for any work. I ask models move around = my eye wants 3D info. Regarding sketching moving subjects, your eyes need to get used to it. Movements have a pattern. Once, your eyes follow a pattern, capturing movement is easy and dramatically re-organised on paper. Then, practice, practice, practice. Let us fulfill our dreams this year. Best wishes, Sadami
Your sketches are all wonderful, and like Laura I like them grouped together. I try to sketch my husband when he is watching TV, but he makes faces at me and moves around too much.
Carol, thank you! Same here, they forgot that they promised to sit still, one minute later. And always it was the part (head, arm) which I was drawing))
These are great, Irina, and I like them as a group too.
ReplyDeleteI ask myself how did I become grandma-age?!
Thank you Laura, my photoshop mastering talents are stronger than my sketching figures ones)))
DeleteGreat spontaneous sketches Irina? You asked a good question! Life is too fast, faster than battling eye lids :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Padmaja!
DeleteMuy lindos trabajos, hay mucho amor en la mirada que hizo los bocetos.
ReplyDeleteUsted tiene tan razón, ¡Gracias Beti!

DeleteReally nice figurative sketches. You have captured the relaxation of the bodies and the distribution of weight so well!
ReplyDeleteSusan, you are tooo kind, thank you!

ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful and I especially enjoy sketches that cover 2 pages like you did - not sure why but they really appeal to me.
