My old Eccos have very active and interesting life. They travel a lot, have been to Europe and America, saw a lot of Moscow, know how to drive a car. Though the owner has heavy gait, we walk a lot together and enjoy walking.
And besides, they have recently been painted by unknown but dedicated artist.

Why do some images stick to our attention in the tons of photos we browsing in internet every day? How does it work? Does it depend on your current situation and feeling or are they your all time favorites?
This barn. I saw the photo in Lee's "A Day Not Wasted" challenge and knew at once that I will paint from photo as soon as I can. Here is my contribution and this is the link to challenge's participants works.
And thank you so much for your support and warmth, you help me in my difficult days, thank you!

Leaves

Beware, dear readers. I am free at last from my business activity and, due to the latest circumstances, I plan to stay in the city with a lot of free time. So I plan to bombard you with my art works in non-stop mode.
Today the watercolor sketch of the potted plant's leaves. I link it to Sunday Sketches blog, as it was done on Sunday.
During my 3,5 years in blogger-world I saw different types of art challenges.
Rookiepainter and A Nos Pinceau introduced the idea to join efforts in painting from the photo.
Monday Artday and Illustration Friday provide the topic word and you have to switch on your imagination and creativity to portray that word.
The art challenge of Sunday Sketches is another type of the gathering. Participants have to provide the link to their blogs so one can see which art they did on Sunday - that's all.
I think the challenges all are very important as they aim at developing our art skills and introduce us to each other.
Which type if challenge is interesting for you (if any)?
These leaves were inspired by so very talented Oona Leganovic's plants in glass pots.

I drew him in class. That fact explains that he is recognizable and his eyes and nose are of right size and at right place.
Looking at his features and his neck, when drawing, I felt that Mr. Caesar was very interesting man. In that sort of attractiveness, when you know that this man will ruin you and your life ("thrash the life out of my soul", they say in Russian..), yet you can not resist his power. Poor Ms. Cleopatra.
Next Saturday I will paint him in oil, at different angle.
