That was boring. No freedom, only learning job to be done. But when I started with shadows, boring job became interesting and live.

I think that is always the case - you find a way in to the work (like shadows or light effect). I often like something better the next day - I guess when I am able to appreciate what the medium has done (on its own) versus what I tried to make it do the day before.
