Vase on Blue Cloth

30x40cm, oil pastel on light-grey paper
My contribution to the "Paint and Draw Together" challenge.
It is oil pastel. The medium which gives me most comfort and confidence.
The photo is so rich, I fell in love with it and was sure that oil pastels would be glad to help to do the challenge.

  4. Brilliant - the blue paper really helps to give the metallic or pearlescent effect in the vase and unifies the whole piece.

  6. It is very rich and the vase looks like it's a heavy metal of copper that has changed to the blues so I was surprised to see the melon through the vase. Beautiful rich work!
