How to Draw Animals

I was sketching animals, due to EDM#44. Unfortunately, sketches are based on photos (made in September in Moscow zoo), not real life.
But, considering that they are my first giraffe, goat, elephant ever, not so bad))..

    Just recently I enjoyed them at the Mysore Zoo.. but can never try them out like what you have done here.. they look so free and loose! I particularly love the giraffe.

    Not bad indeed Irina, but then again your sketches are always great! Proportions are not easy in animals but you painted them all perfectly.

    Hi Irina, I never tried to draw animals, except my dog which a paint once some years ago. I think it's a very difficult task, more or less like drawing human. Said that, I think you really did a fantastic job with your sketches, I like the flamingo, he's wonderful! Hugs!

    You've got a nice zoo here! You captured well the movement in some of these characters, and I love the colors of the flamingo too.

    What great looking animals. And they look great all together even though I know many of these animals wouldn't live together in their natural habitat. Or would they?
