Walking Away. A3. Oil pastel "Sonnet"

I post also the reference photo, interesting how the idea changed while drawing.

The photo of the orchids was so soft and light, I felt I needed to draw it at once. First it was planned in watercolor. Then, as busy time of exhibitions work went by, I had time to think. And I decided to make it in pastel, all the thin lines are so hard for me, mainly in watercolor.

Besides, it is my first painting where work was going on two days. Sunlight, daylight. Such a pleasure to see the work progress in natural lighting.

I notice all the mistakes. I know that there are a lot which I do not notice. I don't care. I'm progressing.

Lazy, sleepy, best appetite ever known, timid, affectionate, blabbing, man of tact, sage, darling, healthy, prudent, plump, untidy, trusting, angel, sensible, alarm-clock, weak, strong, attentive, mysterious, persuasive, sweet, caring.

Ленивый, любитель поспать, отличный аппетит, ласковый, болтливый, тактичный, мудрый, любимый, здоровый, осторожный, полный, неаккуратный, доверяющий, ангел, чувствительный, будильник, слабый, сильный, внимательный, загадочный, умеющий убеждать, сладкий, заботливый.

A3, funny White Nights paper

I didn't like this painting at first. It was a result of my meditation at the pastel below, lesson from Paul Hardy airy and sunny landscape. But on the second glance, again as many times before, it was a feeling that I looked at some part of me, which I could not be objective judge of.
As usual it was done in one session. It is always like that. As if I am afraid to lose that state of mind if I continue for several days. And again the process is more important that the result.
And at last I figured out which sign to make :-)).
