Oil pastel on craft paper, 30x40cm |
My tribute to "Paint and Draw Together" Challenge. It looked too dramatic on black background, so I tried to make it look softer.
I was listening to Tord Gustavsen in the beginning and the music influenced the process so much. I started with cool reds and deep shadows in the flowers, which were changed to warm and soft colors and lines when I finished the CD and turned on "I am Kloot".
Do you listen to the music when doing your art? How does it work for you?
Precioso Irina. Estupendos contrastes. Un Saludo
ReplyDeleteThis rose is beautiful! I love the contrast!
ReplyDeleteI also listen to music while I paint.
Ciao Irina,good evening!
Music boosts up my spirit and the helps to bring out the best from with in... it shows in the way you have high lighted with the glows of yellow,, very pretty work Irina!
ReplyDeleteHi Irina, your rose is very nice, I like the strong contrast with the background.
ReplyDeleteVery often I listen music when painting, I want a soft music (possibly no songs) just as background, I do not like high volume. I do not think that the music influence my way of painting.....but I'm not completely sure. Ciao!
Какая она шерстистая, роза, хочется погладиться об нее.
ReplyDeleteDear Irina,
ReplyDeleteThe work is very interesting and impressive. Oil pastel! I occasionally use it like a crayon(does anybody know any differences?). Regarding music, depends on my mood. Once, I concentrate on work, I find I'm deaf to music. Something very light and soft for my cartoons and cheerful doodles;).
Cheers, Sadami
I like your work. I am usually lost in my thoughts when I am doing anything creative.
ReplyDeleteGreat work and composition! A piece of music, as a synthesis of the feelings and moments of inspiration of an artist, it must be useful for our development. Saludos.
ReplyDeleteCarlos, thank you. Too much contrast, I am afraid.
ReplyDeleteFrancesco, thank you! Music makes it more free.
Padmaja, thank you!
Tito, thank you so much for your input!
Катя, я не поняла "шерстистая")))
Sadami, thank you! I started my "painting career" with oil pastels and it is my first love. Very interesting to know your way with music.
Abe, thank you!
Carraol, I so very agree!
