Watercolor with oil pastel accents.
I turned off TV, I do not read news in internet, I try to turn off radio news in the car. I can not stand more evidenciary of the disaster my country is speeding into.
I am so deeply sorry for 295 innocent people of MH17.
I cannot watch or listen to the news any more either, Irina. The entire world seems to be in turmoil and horrid distress. Your lovely flowers stand in tribute to the people of Flight MH17. So sad.
ReplyDeleteIrina, Susan, I don't read the news either, though some stories we can't avoid hearing. I am sorry for your distress, Irina, sorry for the people on the plane, sorry for Israel and Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq, Africa....it doesn't stop. Sorry, sorry, sorry.
ReplyDeleteWe can use the internet to build international relationships, and we're doing just that. It's our own way of reaching out and it's a good way. I'm glad we're friends.
oh, dear Irina, I am wrapping a gentle hug around you.
ReplyDeleteDear Irina, I share your feelings. We are living sad times.Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHugs, my dear girls. Thank you so much, friends.
ReplyDeleteDear Irina, my friend, when the world turns ugly, you create beauty on paper and it makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteIrina tu tristeza es compartida por el resto de los seres humanos que como tu aborrece el horror de tanta tragedia, no perdamos la fe, que todo ira cambiando para mejorar, tu hermosa acuarela representa el futuro deseado.
ReplyDeleteI cannot watch tv very much either, Irina, it is all too sad. There is so much turmoil in the world today, I hope we can all keep a level head. Your flowers are a beautiful tribute, Irina! Hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteHi Irina, Your vase of flowers is just beautiful. I can't watch the news either anymore. The whole world is such a mess. Hugs to everyone.
ReplyDeletethank you for dropping by and leaving a comment as i approach one year of not blogging on cdp. it's quite liberating not to be posting and commenting regularly. it had simply grown heavier over time to carry the commitment. putting it down is a huge relief. i very much miss the sense of community, the regular contact with some very dear people, but i have made good use of the extra time. i've even started doing a little painting myself though i haven't the natural gift you have for it.
ReplyDeleteI can sing in unison to your comment, Karen. I know this feeling of freedom since I stopped daily Moscow photoblog. Also now I can not stand any visual collections, stuff like pinterest makes me nervous, quickly fed up. And friendship in "facebook friends" style is also a bit overwhelming for my introvert nature.
DeleteAnd keeping this art blog is joy, with no obligations and 10 closest friends, so I advice you to have one too, someday.
Now to grreeeat news about your painting. Natural gift?? I believe with all deep of my heart that everyone is gifted and special. And it took 5 years of artwork to realize: as I do not have to earn my living with painting, I can do whatever I want without waiting for approval or popularity. And this makes me happy and free. So go ahead, friend, on this wonderful and joyful road.
Dear Irina. You are definitely not alone turning off the TV and avoiding the news...always bad ! Your flowers are gorgeous and a beautiful and sensitive homage to all these innocent victims. Hugs.
