Really good, especially at these hard-to-capture angles. I've always thought that being an artist's model would be difficult, holding a pose for so long.
These sketches are 1 minute, 3 minute and 5 minute poses, not so long.
I have never thought about art models as "profession" at all. And felt a bit embarrassed in the beginning in front of naked people.
Now I realize it is so complicated and full with nuances. The variety of poses (once girl was so monotonous), silence (he and she were whispering non stop), manner (once girl was doing "Playboy session" on the podium), inner calmness and intellect, perfect bodies to study anatomy, imperfect bodies to study character and beauty of imperfectness.
Lovely sketches, Irina. I really like the toned paper. Whenever I was lucky enough to belong to a life drawing group, the short poses--2 to 10 minutes--were always my favorite ... Unless the model was one of those who liked to take contortionist poses!
Thank you Laura! I agree, they can be such inventors)). 5 minutes are comforting for me, enough time to combine freedom and my meticulousness. 1 min still make me stressful..
Thank you, Carol. I am tired of knowing that I can not draw people, so these weeks I try to sketch as many bodies as possible to calm down my inner critic. And there is progress, I see and I am happy. artists.pixelovely and posemaniacs are always here online to help.

And thank you so much for being here and sharing your thoughts!
DeleteI never thought of it that way. But of course, each person brings their personality to the pose.

these are great sketches Irina. I've been going to life drawing classes and some of these poses you drew are hard. You did a great job!
