The Buddies

When collecting travel bag, I do not care a lot about t-shirts and trousers. But I know that shoes are the most important part of the gear and one needs at least two (better three) pairs to feel good every new day on long hikes.
Here I wanted to pay tribute to my boots, my buddies, which made my hiking full of pleasure and relax.
I want to advertise Merrell (for free), as my shoes were amazingly comfortable for many miles I walked during this USA journey and many other tours during many years before.

That was fun task from my "ideas basket": I had to use two, light and dark, pastel sticks, 10 various papers and to draw human figure (from reference), composing into the paper.
Experience of losing control and going with the flow is priceless.

I keep collecting ideas in the book "One Drawing A Day" by V.Lawlor.
This time it is portrait drawn in pastel, fast and without deep analyses.
To give freedom to hand, to imagination, to color.

Snow Storm Impression

It felt so good, sitting at the window inside warm and comfy place, looking at snow dance outside and trying to catch the feeling of the snow.

Irish Impressions 7. Howth

After two hours of persistent attempts to draw the roofs and windows in right perspective, I gave up and took the ruler..
Perspective looks so easy subject in the manual...

Howth is located near Dublin and is known for fresh catch fish and fish restaurants.

Pine Tree

A friend of my asked me to draw the pine tree as a memory of our trip to Cirali, Turkey  in the summer of 2013.
It took me only half a year to fulfill the request  and to present the painting ;-).
